This Privacy Policy explains how The Buddi Brand Inc. dba Shoup ("Shoup," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Shoup platform. By using Shoup, you agree to the practices described here.
We collect: account information (name, email); profile information you choose to provide, which may include health-related details such as your menopause stage, care preferences, and what you are navigating; content you post in the community; your approximate location (such as city and region) to support matching; and payment information, which is processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers. We also collect usage and device data through standard analytics.
Shoup is a space for people navigating perimenopause and menopause, and you may choose to share health-related information in your profile or in community posts. Sharing this information is always your choice, and you decide what to share and, where the Platform offers audience controls, who can see it. We collect health-related information only when you choose to provide it. We use it solely to operate the Platform, to match you with relevant Providers and resources, and to power features you engage with. We do not use your health-related information for advertising, and we do not sell it. We share it only as described in the "How We Share Information" section, and only to the extent needed to provide the service you have requested. You can edit or remove health-related details in your profile at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data. Depending on where you live, this information may be protected under consumer health data laws, and we honor the rights those laws provide.
We use information to operate and improve the Platform, to match Shoupers with relevant Providers and resources, to communicate with you, to process payments, to maintain safety and integrity, and to comply with legal obligations.
We share information with Providers only when you choose to initiate contact or a request. We share with service providers who help us operate, including Base44 (hosting and platform infrastructure), Stripe (payments), and Google (location services). We may disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal information.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at info@shouphub.com. We will delete or de-identify your information except where we are required to retain it by law.
